Martyn, Jackie and the team welcome you to The Northwick Arms Worcester. Whether you are a returning customer or a new face, our aim is to provide a warm welcome, good quality Wines and Ales and prompt efficient service at prices that are affordable and offer very good value for money. We don’t pretend to be a Megapub, we are a traditional Local's Boozer.
The Northwick Arms is a small independent family and dog friendly pub on the Northwick Road on the outskirts of the famous city of Worcester. Offering a wide range of Real Ale, Wines, Spirits and soft drinks, the Northwick is the hub of a vibrant and diverse community - you would feel comfortable visiting with your new girlfriend or your Grannie!.
The pubs origins are unsure, but it is believe to have been built in the Victorian era serving the locals, many of whom worked on the famous Northwick Manor Estate. Since the early 20th Century, the area has developed into an ecclectic mix of large family houses and small terraced properties, leading to a very mixed community.
During the 1940's the Northwick was regularly frequented by the airmen from the near bye Perdiswell Airforce base. Perdiswell in Worcester played an important role in the history of aviation; it was the world's first municipal aerodrome, and in WWII film star Cary Grant crashed on the airfield and the King's Flight was moved there to escape the bombing raids.
Post-war the area grew as industry and commerce grew in Worcester and has now become a popular suburb of the historic city.
The Northwick is a Dog, Child and occasionally Adult friendly traditional local boozer and there are few of those around these days. Family run, Martyn and Jackie can happily cater for all types of functions from Christenings through to Wakes and regularly host local community group and business events.
